Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program
This is a grant opportunity for fire fighters that ECN is not eligible to apply for. Eligible applicants include Fire Departments, EMS Organizations, and State Fire Training Academies. A new program that has been put out due to recent unprecedented homeland security challenges such as hurricanes, wildfires, terrorist attaches, cyberattacks, and active shooters. The AFG Program supports the goals of building a culture of preparedness and readying the nation for catastrophic disasters.
The main objective of the grant is to enhance the safety of the public and firefighters with respect to fire and fire-related hazards. The priorities (cope capabilities):
